Maree is an accredited mental health social worker, specialising in early intervention and childhood development. She has extensive experience working with young children and their families in disability and early childhood settings.
Maree is passionate about building positive therapeutic relationships with children and their families and providing parents and carers with skills, knowledge and support to both navigate systems and become their own and their child’s best advocate for the early years, the school years and beyond. Maree works with families in helping children reach their fullest potential in a way that is fun, creative and focused on individual need. She uses a variety of psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and play therapy.
Maree is currently in the final stages of completing her provisional psychology registration and is a registered member of AHPRA and AASW.
The highlights of Maree’s career so far include the delivery of parent psychoeducation and training in helping children with a range of developmental delay reach their developmental milestones.
As a mother of two school-aged children, Maree understands the pressures on families and is passionate about supporting and empowering families towards a bright future.
