Katherine is an experienced Speech Pathologist who is passionate about communication and working with children of all ages. She is a thorough, gentle but firm clinician. She is responsive and sensitive to her clients’ needs and concerns.
Katherine has experience working with children of different ages – toddlers up to late teens. Katherine has worked mainly in early intervention clinical and home settings, however, she has also worked in kinders, primary and secondary schools. Katherine specialises in working with children on the autism spectrum, including assessment, diagnosis, and therapy. She especially enjoys providing therapy for language delay/disorder and applying her knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and programs for children who are yet to develop spoken communication. Katherine also has experience working with children on speech sounds, fluency, language, literacy, play and social communication.
Katherine has previously led different therapy groups forsocial skills, literacy and school readiness. Katherine enjoys the opportunity to work in a team with other allied health professionals. She is constantly renewing and updating her skills and expertise, and provides evidence-based therapy tailored to suit families.
