Hallie is a registered psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Professional Psychology from Monash University. Her Masters research explored the impact of childhood sleep problems on parental adjustment and effective interventions for traumatised youth.
Hallie attended the Evolution of Psychotherapy; a large international conference in 2017, which looked at principles that guide effective therapeutic work. She has completed a number of training courses recently including CBT for Anxiety with the Beck Institute, Understanding Autism and Keeping Children and Families in Mind.
Hallie’s practical experience is in primary school and government settings. She provides a range of assessments, individual counselling and group interventions.
Hallie is passionate about working with children, young people and families to improve their relationships, mental health and overall quality of life. She would describe her therapeutic approach as person-centred, integrative and family sensitive.
Hallie’s areas of interest within the field include; developmental disorders, anxiety, attachment, trauma, anger, emotion regulation, behaviour management, cognitive assessments, depression, self-esteem and social skills.
