Bavani is a registered psychologist who specialises in working with children aged 4-12 years. She provides assessment, counselling, as well as individual and group interventions. Bavani is passionate about helping children develop the social, emotional, and behavioural skills which will enable them to navigate their environment with resilience and a sense of wellbeing.
Bavani holds a Masters degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University. She has a background in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in early intervention settings using Applied Behaviour Analysis and Verbal Behaviour approaches, and has conducted research in mindfulness interventions for primary school aged children.
Bavani takes a family centred approach in her work and values the importance of collaborating with parents and teachers to help them in supporting the child. She draws on therapies such as cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness in her work.
