Aoife is passionate about enabling all young people to thrive and supporting families and schools in achieving this goal. Aoife’s therapeutic style is person and family-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based.
Aoife has therapeutic intervention experience working with children and their families to develop social skills, emotion regulation, self-esteem, and anxiety management skills. Aoife has conducted a wide range of psychoeducational assessments in private practice, schools and clinic settings for specific learning disorders, giftedness, Autism, Intellectual Disability and ADHD.
Aoife has a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology from Monash University. Aoife’s Masters research focused on the impacts of childhood trauma on learning and executive function. She presented at the PACFA Trauma Conference in Sydney in February 2019 on the experiences of teachers working with children exposed to trauma.
