Rhonda is a registered Occupational Therapist who has worked in a range of settings, with a focus on paediactrics. Rhonda has gained a lot of her experience in Special Development and Specialist School settings, including Yarra Ranges SDS and Bulleen Heights School. Rhonda has also worked in early intervention as a key worker at Illoura Early Childhood Intervention Services, completing home and community visits.
Rhonda’s experience includes working with both preschool and school aged children with an intellectual disability, Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. In both the early intervention settings and education system, Rhonda has focussed on areas including sensory processing, fine motor skills, daily living skills, gross motor skills and equipment prescription.
Rhonda enjoys working with the child and family in a collaborative approach to achieve the desired outcomes for independent and active participation in activities of daily living. Rhonda aims to make sure her Occupational Therapy sessions are fun, in which the child enjoys learning and developing new skills.
