You are booking fortnightly sessions at our practice in Bayswater

The session time you choose for transition will be your session time with us on an ongoing fortnightly basis until you cancel. This is because the regularity of therapy sessions is extremely important when working with children and having a regular day and time for sessions supports consistency for you and your child.

Ongoing sessions with a clinician are $207 (ongoing sessions with a Provisional Psychologist are $170 and for a Student Psychologist are $150).

Please note: It is a policy of Okey Dokey that we do not write letters for lawyers or courts.

What is a Provisional Psychologist?

A Provisional Psychologist is a psychologist who has completed their studies but has to complete practical work with clients under supervision to achieve General Registration. Sessions are cheaper than sessions with our other Psychologists for this reason and there are no Medicare rebates.

What is a Student Psychologist?

A Student Provisional Psychologist is a psychologist who is on placement at Okey Dokey from a university. They have completed their Masters degree coursework but have to complete practical work with clients under supervision to complete their qualifications and achieve General Registration. They are also at the practice for a limited time, usually 6 or 12 months. Sessions are cheaper than sessions with our other Psychologists for this reason and there are no Medicare rebates.

What is a Mental Health Social Worker?

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers work in a holistic way by addressing psychological factors during therapy sessions, as well as identifying and addressing external factors that also impact upon a person’s wellbeing, such as social and environmental issues. There are Medicare rebates for providing Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) services through the Better Access To Mental Health Care, Chronic Disease Management and Access to Allied Psychological Services Programs.
