Deborah is a registered psychologist who has a passion for working with children and their families. She qualified as a psychologist in Auckland, New Zealand, and relocated to Melbourne with her family in 2001. Deborah has a background in preschool teaching, ESL coaching, and working with children with disabilities and challenging behaviour. Deborah has extensive experience in working with children and has been conducting complex, multi-disciplinary assessments for over 20 years. She values the opportunity to work with children, families, and school staff in exploring issues of concern, using a family-centred approach to designing and implementing intervention strategies.
Deborah worked at Monash University’s Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology for many years and received training in using the ADI-R and ADOS, internationally acclaimed assessment instruments used in autism assessments. Deborah has further developed her experience in these instruments by becoming a trainer and has trained health professionals in the ADI-R and ADOS-2 throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Deborah is also an accredited service provider of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, Stepping Stones Program.
Deborah is married with two daughters and a dog.
